Nowra Court house is located on Plunkett Street near Marriott Park and also accommodates the District Court for the area. One of the earliest buildings in Nowra, the courthouse was opened in March 1896 and has been a symbol of law and order ever since. The courthouse has undergone extensive modernisation, including the construction of a new facility blending the entry and forecourt of the new Court House with the existing heritage listed building.
The new Court House incorporates a new court room complete with video conferencing, jury rooms, interview room, judges chambers, public amenities and improved public access to both the new and existing court houses.
The refurbishment of the heritage-listed court house includes upgrades to the Magistrates chamber, tribunal room and amenities for both staff and the public.

Nowra Local and District Court is open Monday-Wednesday and Friday. Registry hours are between 9:00am – 4:30pm. You can call Nowra Court House on 1300 679 272 between 8:30am – 4:30pm.
The court is located next to the police station, where there is ample street parking.
