University of Wollongong (UOW)
Morrisons provides sponsorship and support to the University of Wollongong (UOW) Faculty of Law and Law Student’s Society. We believe in providing guidance and mentorship to the advocates of tomorrow. In 2019, Morrisons worked closely with the UOW Law Student’s Society to develop the Morrisons’ Moot competition. Morrisons’ Moot is a criminal advocacy moot designed to assist and guide student’s interest in learning about courtroom advocacy. The competition is unique; not only does it allow future lawyers the ability to foster courtroom skills, but it also provides students with the opportunity to win prizes throughout.
Morrisons is also a proud sponsor of other advocacy competitions at UOW, including the Senior Mooting competition. We also support the UOW Faculty of Law and Law Student’s Society through guest lectures, discussions and regular engagement with students.
Helensburgh Cricket Club
Morrisons is a proud financial supporter of Helensburgh Cricket Club. Matthew Ward is the Vice President of the club and has been for many years.
Illawarra Folk Festival
Morrisons is a proud financial supporter of the Illawarra Folk Festival. Graeme Morrison has been involved in both the Illawarra Folk Club and the running of the annual festival for over a decade.
Wollongong and District Law Society
Morrisons is an active member of the Wollongong and District Law Society. Matthew Ward is the criminal law representative and Graeme Morrison is the social co-ordinator.
Albion Park Chamber of Commerce
Morrisons is an active member of the Albion Park Chamber of Commerce. Graeme Morrison has been involved in the Chamber of Commerce for over 20 years. He is the current president of the Chamber of Commerce.
